Book Reading at the Sointula Museum
Join us on Saturday, November 2nd, from 1–3 PM for a reading and discussion with author Joline Martin, featuring her new book War Resisters: Standing Against the Vietnam War.
Through interviews with 12 Vancouver Island residents, Martin shares the powerful and often untold stories of Americans who refused to fight in the Vietnam War and found new lives in Canada. These stories reveal the courage it took to leave everything behind and the compassion of those who helped them settle and contribute to communities across Vancouver Island.
