Sointula Museum – Summer 2025 Art Exhibition Series
Artist Submission Application
The Sointula Museum invites artists to apply for our 2025 Summer Art Exhibition Series, a four-part exploration of Malcolm Island through time:
-
June: Before Humans
-
July: Early Human History
-
August: Present Day
-
September: Future
Each exhibition runs from the 1st to the 30th of the month (September ends on the 29th). A community reception will be held each month to celebrate participating artists and foster conversation with the public: June 1, July 6, August 3, and September 7.
Guidelines:
-
All mediums are welcome. Work should be suitable for hanging.
If your piece cannot be hung, please let us know in advance so we can collect or arrange appropriate display stands. -
Artists may submit up to 2 works per exhibition.
-
You may apply for one or more exhibitions.
-
Install and strike both take place on the last day of each month. Artists are expected to:
-
Be present and work collaboratively to hang their artwork.
-
Remove work from the previous month’s exhibition on the same day, if applicable.
-
-
Artwork must be original and connected in some way to Malcolm Island, interpreted through each theme.
-
Artwork must be for sale, with transactions coordinated by the museum (revenue percentage split 70 (artist): 30 (Museum)).
