This exhibition explores the journeys, choices, and experiences of Finnish women who left their homes behind to build new lives on Malcolm Island. Through photographs, letters, objects, and personal stories, the exhibit reflects on the challenges of migration, the process of creating community, and the connections that shaped life in Sointula. It highlights the voices of women who arrived with hopes for a new future while navigating the realities of building a home far from where they began.
