John Michelson’s Hand Improving
Heikki Kilpeläinen and Viktor Saarikoski go to Malcolm Island

Our congenial spirits Heikki Kilpeläinen and Viktor Saarikoski left for Malcolm Island yesterday. They took more tools as well as food supplies with them.
 

John Michelson’s hand is getting better. Only the thumb needed operating, because its bones had been crushed. The doctor’s first estimate was that he would lose his entire hand, because it had been without medical care for so long. To their astonishment, however, the hand started healing. In their view the reason to this was that Michelson is a sober man.

More people could have fit into the hall in Extension where evening program was held in support of the Kalevan Kansa. There were, however, more people than our opponents had expected. The profit of the evening was a little over $ 50.00.
